Description

More than half a century ago, a few women came together to form a gymnastics group. At the same time, members of the local Westerkappeln Protestant youth group, the YMCA, met up to play handball. This was in the summer of 1969 and the THC Westerkappeln was born.
THC Westerkappeln is now a multi-disciplinary club and offers many opportunities for sporting activities!
Sport is at its best in a club!

Zumba
- an effective fitness training. Easy to imitate dance and fitness movements to Latin American and international music.
No matter how fit or how old you are, Zumba is suitable for almost everyone, as the intensity of the training can be individually controlled.
Zumba is not about performance, but about having fun. The music, the easy-to-learn movements and the associated rapid progress make it particularly fun.
Zumba Fitness takes place every Thursday from 6 to 7 pm at the Gartenkamp 26 sports park in Westerkappeln.

Zumba Gold
is the simplest and easiest form of ZUMBA Fitness ®
A sports and fitness program specially designed for
- beginners
- pregnant women
- older adults Participants with back or joint problems
or joint problems.
The main difference between Zumba Gold® and Zumba Fitness® is the lower intensity (no jumping or spinning). Condition and coordination are improved, the range of movement is extended and balance is trained. All to Latin American and international music.
Zumba Gold takes place every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the gym at the Bullerdiek elementary school in Westerkappeln.

Yoga!
Yoga serves to improve body and breathing awareness. These experiences are gradually integrated into the exercise practice. As a result, more vitality can also be gained in everyday life.
In this course, I would like to teach participants the positive aspects and effects of improved breath and body awareness so that they can gradually integrate these experiences into their practice and experience the effects as a gain in vitality and harmony in everyday life. The focus of the class is on preparatory exercises such as joint mobilization, pre-stretching, stabilization and strengthening in preparation for the asana practice. The class concludes with a full-body relaxation with various building blocks.

The Feldenkrais® method
is a body-oriented learning method that goes back to Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. The focus is on mindful, gentle movements that help you to become more aware of your own body and discover new, easier ways of moving.
By quietly exploring movement sequences, we learn to recognize and change ingrained habits. This can lead to greater flexibility, improved body awareness and more ease in everyday life. Feldenkrais® helps you to move more freely, to cope better with everyday stresses and strains and to develop more balance in posture, breathing and movement.
The course is suitable for people of all ages - no previous knowledge or special physical requirements are necessary.
