Shiatsu - mindful touch that makes you feel
Shiatsu is a holistic form of bodywork that originated in Japan and works through mindful pressure, stretching and touch. The treatment takes place clothed on a soft futon on the floor. At the beginning, I feel the energy distribution in the abdominal area (hara) and select meridians (energy pathways), which I gently touch on the body with my hands, thumbs, elbows or knees. Joints are also moved and parts of the body stretched - all with mindfulness and without force. It should be pleasant, relaxing and supportive.
Shiatsu helps to calm the nervous system, release physical tension and get in touch with yourself. It creates space for inner peace, self-regulation and a deeper connection to your own body. The treatment has a balancing and regenerating effect on both a physical and emotional level.
I accompany people who suffer from stress, tension, sleep problems or exhaustion - but also those who simply want to calm down regularly and recharge their batteries.
Whether as preventative health promotion, for relaxation or as accompanying support in stressful phases of life - Shiatsu offers a beneficial way to bring body and mind back into harmony.
