Description
I am Heike, and I have been a yoga teacher since 2016. I completed my YA 200 h CHI Yoga training with the wonderful Lucia Schmidt. I supplemented the 200 h training with a further 300 h teacher training in Vinyasa Flow, Mental Yin Yoga, Fascia Yoga and Meditation with Karo Wagner. I also completed the Psychedelic Breath Facilitator training with the wonderful Eva Kaczor in Berlin.
Since my breast cancer in 2012, I have struggled with chronic exhaustion.
Yoga gives me strength and energy. I can express myself through yoga and give the people who come to my yoga classes something that I myself have been looking for for a long time. A short time of calm in a world that is getting louder and louder.
ChiYoga is a flowing hatha yoga style that transfers traditional Indian yoga into the present day and is geared towards the needs of modern people in Western society. The term "Chi" comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and describes the life force that flows along the energy channels (meridians).
ChiYoga harmonizes and revitalizes the entire organism via the meridians, helping it to find balance.
In Mental Yin Yoga, the postures (asanas) practiced exclusively on the floor are held for a particularly long time, which leads the body and mind into an intoxicating stillness and relaxes the entire system in a very lasting way. The connective tissue (fascia) is stimulated and flexibility improves. Tension can be loosened and even released. Muscles and fasciae become more elastic and supple again. As a positive side effect, muscular complaints such as neck, back and shoulder pain can be alleviated or even completely resolved.
Practices from modern mental and meditation training accompany my classes. It is the perfect counterbalance to dynamic yoga and is suitable for every target group.
As we are not just bodies, but also a lot of energy, I love to complement my classes with Kundalini Kryas and Breathwork.
I believe that - especially in this day and age - it is important to create spaces for ourselves to feel within, to ground ourselves and to harmonize our Yin & Yang. Yoga and Breathwork offer such a space.

After the expanding energy of high summer, we flow into the abundance and balance of late summer.
This special time is in the element of earth.
The transitions between the seasons can easily throw us off center - it is important to strengthen the inner and outer balance and to consciously perceive the centering power of the earth element.
