Description
The Kadampa Meditation Center Frankfurt offers courses for understanding and practicing meditation. Our courses are designed so that you can join at any time, even without prior experience; everyone is welcome.
You can meditate on cushions or chairs; comfortable clothing is recommended.
Our ongoing courses are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
They last approximately 60-75 minutes.

When we practice meditation, our distracting thoughts gradually subside, and we experience a sense of inner peace and relaxation. Our mind becomes clear and expansive, and we feel refreshed. When the sea is stormy, sediment is stirred up, and the water becomes murky, but when the wind dies down, the silt slowly settles, and the water becomes clear.
Similarly, our mind becomes unusually bright and clear as soon as the otherwise incessant flood of our distracting thoughts is calmed by focusing on the breath. We should remain in this calm state of mind for a while.
As the restlessness of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within. This state of contentment and well-being helps us cope with the busyness and difficulties of everyday life.

Various courses on the weekends from 2 - 5 pm see website. These courses always have two sessions separated by a break. The first session is financed by Hansefit, participation in the second session can be booked on site for 10 euros.
