Description
The Kadampa Meditation Center Dresden is a center for modern Buddhism, a special presentation of Buddha's teachings for the people of the modern world. This shows how Buddha's advice on compassion and wisdom can benefit everyone, regardless of age, background, gender or faith. Founder of the Center as well as the New Kadampa Tradition - IKBU is Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a meditation master and internationally recognized teacher of Buddhism.
Kelsang Gyudzhin is the Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Dresden. He is a German Buddhist monk who has been studying and practicing the Buddha's teachings within the Kadampa tradition for over 20 years. He is a Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Dresden and participates in FTTP, a Germany-wide teacher training program of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Gyudzhin is universally respected for his kind heart and calm nature. He is an inspiring example of a modern Buddhist monk dedicated to helping everyone find inner peace and true happiness through the Buddha's timeless teachings and guidance on meditation.
The courses include meditations and inspirational thoughts that help us experience inner peace - even when external circumstances are difficult. We learn the ability to overcome negative and disturbing thoughts through the power of our own mind. "When the restlessness of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, deep happiness and contentment naturally rise from within us." The meditations can be easily practiced, yet have great power to positively impact our lives. Evenings can be attended individually and without pre-registration. No previous experience is required.
