Borken salt cave (formerly Gemen): take a deep breath and relax in the salt cave or brine nebulization!
Salt binds water from the air and retains it in the airways when we breathe in salty air. It acts as a humidifier for the mucous membranes and makes it easier to cough up airway infections.
Naturally occurring salt caves established themselves as therapeutic centers as early as the 19th century.
As there are no natural salt caves in Westmünsterland, the Gemen salt cave was created for you.
