Discover the freedom of paddling with the KAYAKOMAT on Lake Goitzsche!
Our self-service kayak station is located directly on the lakeside promenade in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Here you can easily book 5 solo and 4 tandem kayaks online and use them around the clock - without any staff or opening hours. All you need is your cell phone!
The Great Goitzsche Lake is one of the most popular swimming lakes in central Germany. With its clear waters, extensive beaches and views of the water tower, it offers ideal conditions for relaxed or sporty kayaking tours. From the water, you can even experience the colorful hustle and bustle of the Sputnik Spring Break Festival (every year at Whitsun). Experience Bitterfeld-Wolfen from a whole new perspective - from the water!
Local tips for paddling in Bitterfeld-Wolfen
- The nearby Pegelturm offers a great view and is a perfect photo opportunity.
- Directly opposite is the Seensucht's Resort with restaurants and overnight accommodation.
- You can relax before or after paddling at the beach area by the Pegelturm.
- Watch the Sputnik Spring Break Festival from the water - music feeling included.
- A tour along the promenade to the Pouch peninsula is ideal for sporty paddlers.
Practical information at KAYAKOMAT Bitterfeld-Wolfen
- Public toilets are located directly at the station
- It is easy to enter the water via a shallow drop-off
- Our Elmo kayak trolley is available to roll the kayaks comfortably to the mooring point. You will receive the code for the lock to which Elmo is connected together with your booking code for the kayaks.
- There is ample parking along the lakeside promenade
- The location is easily accessible on foot or by bike
- Please be considerate of bathers and other water sports enthusiasts
Note: For legal reasons, access is secured with a chain. This may - and should - be climbed over. Please be careful not to trip.
On the paddling day:
● You will receive your personal access code for your booked kayak up to
30 min. before your booked start time
● Go to the booked Kayakomat location.
● Scan the Hansefit QR code at the station
● Open the corresponding compartment with your numerical code and remove the kayak
paddle and life jacket
● Please note: The lock can only be opened at the start of your booking period
● Your paddling adventure can begin!
After the tour:
● Return the kayak to the same Kayakomat.
● Put all the equipment back in the compartment and close it properly.
● Please leave everything clean for the next paddler.
